Description
Use this socket tool on most Ducatis (not including DVT motors or Panigales). Perfect tool for rotating/holding the vertical cylinder cam wheel during belt installation. Also needed for cam wheel removal. A separate cam wheel holder tool is available here as a linked product. The socket tool comes in 2 variants depending on castle nut size. Castle nut size is independent of the number of sprocket teeth.
NOTE1: The standard tool is tested to 80NM. Force in excess of that will shear off the tangs on the tool.
NOTE2: TO DETERMINE YOUR SIZE, MEASURE WITH A SET OF DIGITAL CALIPERS THE OUTER DIAMETER OF THE CASTLE NUT FROM THE OUTER EDGE OF THE SLOT ACROSS TO THE OUTER EDGE OF THE OPPOSING SLOT. See gallery picture.
